Hi All

I posted about problems with udf212 in comp.os.os2.bugs and also mentioned the problems RSJ users are are having with recent builds of os2cdrom.dmd.

I got a response from Scott asking for more details about these problems, both udf212 and os2cdrom.dmd, and have sent my experience of recent udf and ide upgrades, if/how/which version of udf works for me and also which versions of os2cdrom.dmd are known to work with RSJ - based on various posts in this newsgroup.

I also suggested that postings in this newsgroup get checked for this os2cdrom.dmd problem.

Scott has replied that he has passed "my experiences" onto the people who deal with UDF and DMD development. He also mentioned that RSJ have supplied a licence key. No fix guaranteed, but it is looking hopeful that future UDF/DMD updates may not disable RSJ's writing capabilities.

It may be helpful if anyone else who has had problems using RSJ after upgrading ide or udf could prepare a short report of their experiences - basically what updates kill RSJ and what you did to rectify that - in case anyone from the UDF/DMD teams posts asking about these problems. I suspect UDF performance (or not) reports would also be appreciated.

Heres to UDF and RSJ working perfectly with no problems sometime in the, hopefully near, future

Pete
