Works perfectly with UDF and RSJ .
But you should check for Firmware revision. Mine had A104 installed
which obviously didn't support all of the newer DVD+RWs (1x-4x speed).
So it only burned at 1x speed on that media. The update to A300 fixed
all problems. Meanwhile A301 is available which I haven't installed yet.

> I would be surprised if your cd writer - HP 9200i - did not work with UDF as it is one of the few supported drives. Sadly udf212 does not work for all cdrw drives - but we live in hope

Last time I tried with UDF was with version 2.0.1. It worked
but it was so slow that you don't really wanna use it. Maybe
it still works but I don't use it because of this.
Compared to it the speed of the DVD burner is very good.

Verify that all drivers are at the latest revision. I figured out that
sometimes the IDEDASD package contains some outdated drivers.
You should use BLDLEVEL on each file before replacing the installed
version. So in your case this mix of old and new driver revisions
could be the issue.
I think the latest revision of all drivers usually contained in
IDEDASD is 10.122 (IBM1S506.ADD, IBMATAPI.FLT, OS2CDROM.DMD)
although I cannot check that at the moment.

> I do not have the /80WIRE switch on danis506.add - maybe I should try it although I did not need it before applying the udf212 and recent idedasd packages.

/80WIRE should be used carefully as it overrides the driver detection
for UDMA33 and higher support. You can damage your data if you don't have
the correct cable at the drives !
I need it because all VIA chipsets have a problem with detecting
UDMA cable.

> I do not have the /RSJ switch on daniatapi.flt as I do not use lockcdr.flt at all.

With the LG DVD burner there seems to be no way around this.
I couldn't get it working without lockcdr.flt, even with the
correct entries in cdrdrv.inf.
That's whyI'm using /RSJ with DANIATAPI.FLT.

> Would the use of aspirout.sys make a scsi burner accessible as a cdrom without using RSJ to attach it?

From CDRecord/2 ? Yes.
ASPIROUT.SYS does not use OS2DASD.DMD. It directly sends commands
to the drive. So the drive is visible to cdrecord even there is no
drive letter assigned to it. I verified that already.
This also works with IDE burners because of the SCSI emulation
provided by DANATAPI.FLT or IBMATAPI.FLT.

> You would also need the necessary "drive info line" - as you are currently using lockcdr.flt this should be displayed on the System page of the CD Writer Control - added to the cddrv.inf file for both of your writers to be able to make the necessary changes to your config.sys file:-

See above. Didn't work with LG burner and RSJ 5.03. I carefully checked
every single character that I copied from the CD writer control page.
Still no luck. Maybe 5.04 does but I haven't checked that yet.
But with /RSJ I don't have any problems.
