Hi Heiko

Thanks for sharing your setup info with us.

What I found of most interest is that the LG 4040B DVD works as I am considering purchasing one myself - it is probably the cheapest DVD writer in the UK.

I would be surprised if your cd writer - HP 9200i - did not work with UDF as it is one of the few supported drives. Sadly udf212 does not work for all cdrw drives - but we live in hope

The os2cdrom.dmd "problem" has been a bit of a recurring problem for some of us when applying update ide/udf packages.

What I did find strange is that after applying udf212 and an ide update - containing os2cdrom.dmd build 10.122 - RSJ still worked but udf did not. Re-applying the udf212 package "killed" RSJ and UDF still does not work.

I have no idea if FP4 causes any cdrw problems as I have not applied it yet.

My main configuration differences are that:-

I do not have the /80WIRE switch on danis506.add - maybe I should try it although I did not need it before applying the udf212 and recent idedasd packages.

I do not have the /RSJ switch on daniatapi.flt as I do not use lockcdr.flt at all.

Would the use of aspirout.sys make a scsi burner accessible as a cdrom without using RSJ to attach it?

You would also need the necessary "drive info line" - as you are currently using lockcdr.flt this should be displayed on the System page of the CD Writer Control - added to the cddrv.inf file for both of your writers to be able to make the necessary changes to your config.sys file:-

rem the lockcdr.flt line
remove the /RSJ switch from daniatapi.flt

Regards

Pete
