It was pretty amazing!
Can we conclude:
Power PC OS/2
-------- = ------ ?
PC DOS
I think the "A: problem" has sent a lot of people back
to studying CONFIG.SYS setup to try and figure out a workaround.
Questions I have:
1) Was Mark A. actually sure IBM1FLOPPY.ADD was present
on the PPC? If absent, OS/2 cannot access a floppy,
so I conclude that the two levels of virtualization aren't
communicating (for what ever that's worth).
2) Is it possible XDFLOPPY.FLT was active, and somehow causing some
conflict within the emulator?
3) I've noticed a driver IBMINT13.I13 - could this have anything
to do with the floppy?
4) Does the PPC have a parallel port? If so, maybe Mark
could hook up a PP Zip drive for a removeable/writable media,
or just start writing all his floppy stuff to a writable CD-ROM.
5) Will diddeling with the value of IOPL= in Config.sys do any good?
6) Declare this a security enhancment, making the PPC emulation
immune to boot sector viruses.
