It was there in config.sys, and there were no errors on loading. I
watched carefully during loading, after pressing ALT-F2. (Yes, this
works, too!)

This driver was there in config.sys. Is it not supposed to be?

There is a zip drive, so floppies could be written to a ZIP drive first, I
suppose. Perhaps even easier (?) is to follow a suggestion by Melanie.
Set up DOS in an a bootable extended partition, and see if drive A: will
work there. Then boot into OS/2, accessign the info you had transferred
in DOS from the floppy.

This is perhaps a great selling point!
In any case, I'll pass along some ofthese ideas, but I'm returning the Mac
in a few hours, so won't have time to check out these things.
