> Does Patrick just need to modify his CONFIG.SYS and copy the necessary files from another machine that's got the TCP/IP stack set up the way he wants it?
The first thing I did this morning was run TCP/IP Configuration and
changed a few things, then closed it up so it would update whatever
files it uses.
Then I opened a command line window and ran DIR /S | FIND "5-31-98"
(today's date) to see what files had been updated. (My machine was on
all night; thus, no bootup process took place today.)
A few files showed up, though you won't need most of them. These files
are the ones that have to be set up for the target machine and, just as
importantly, they show what subdirectories are involved (to get the
subdirectories you have to DIR /S on each file name from the above list,
either by hand or with a little REXX script). You probably can't get in
too much trouble by just copying to the target machine each of the
subdirectory structures that the above files are in.
