Virginia if you want to give Jack all the win-os2 settings, open the
properties of the object and go to the win-os2 settings.

Press the print button and select encoded file. Enter a path and filename.
and press ok.

Attach that file to a email.

Jack save that attachment then open the win-os2 settings for your object and
press the load button and enter the path and name of the saved attachment.
Press load and the take a look at whats changed. Close things out and you
now have all the same win-os2 settings.

Hi, Jack -

I had a similar problem with an Options by IBM scanner. A few things to
check:

1. At least 2048 of EMS memory selected in the WIN-OS/2 properties list
(for some strange reason parallel ports have difficulty if this isn't at
least 2048)

2. Device listed in the DOS_DEVICE section (even if it's a Windows
device, not just a DOS device)

3. DOS_FILES something like 80 (it may be less, but I've found 80 works
for just about everything)

4. DOS_HIGH and DOS_UMB selected

5. PRINT_TIMEOUT set higher (I wound up with it set at 120 for the
scanner icon)

You may need to change the EMS_FRAME_LOCATION.

HTH.
