I've been having hard disk problems, and now I've gotten to the state
where my boot partition (E:) gives me a disk error when trying to boot.
I think what has happened is that I've been trying to restore files
from the backup using a maintenance partition which has the older
version (pre FP-7, which E: is) of CHKDSK and, I presume, of the HPFS
IFS.
Is there any easy way I can get back in sync? I can access E: from
the maintenance partition and probably from the floppy boot.
TIA
Lance
