Having had several members advise they'd LOVE to participate, but just can't
make it on Tuesday evenings, we decided to try an alternate evening for a while
to see if some of you would like to share the opportunity to chat with your
friends once a week. We'll be meeting on WEDNESDAY evenings, 7PM PDT, beginning
THIS WEEK. Hope to see you there.
I'll try to put an agenda on the web site
(http://users.deltanet.com/users/dwatson/meeting.html) but we tend to fall into
topics as we go. If you want a topic, let me know, or drop by and join in!
VOICE (http://os2voice.org) is beginning a Saturday chat to hit the time zone
such that Europeans can join in. I hear the first attempt was well received, so
we might make that a regular. See the VOICE web site for details.
We continue to do some good on Monday nights with our online HELP DESK. Join
us Mondays 7PM PDT.
If you want other topics, or have ideas for other uses for the chat channel,
please let us know. We're just beginning to explore this fascinating new
medium, and it seems to have lots of potential. Come and help us grow it!
Details on how to connect are on the ISIG web site and on VOICE. It's easy.
Download and install a simple IRC client application, configure it to go to
irc.webbnet.org, and connect to #scoug. Drop me a line if you need better
description, and we'll help you get connected.
