I'm not aware of any with full read/write capability, only read capability.
I recall reading excuses about this, that LINUX doesn't recognize
extended attributes, but seems like the simple maxim of 'first do no harm'
would a simple enough way to handle this.
I suspect the lack of extended attributes is maybe one
reason X-Window takes up so much disk space compared to PM,
maybe someone else can set me straight on this.

Without knowing the full story on what he has been up to etc.,
it seems to me like this is the single most important thing
that Len Maxson & co. could be doing toward his 'proposal'.
It seems to me this would be the most important thing IBM could
do to preserve the future for OS/2, more so than 'opening up'
the source code or anything else.
This would effectively give an alternate, POSIX compliant kernal to
run on OS/2 installations.
Maybe from there they could figure out some way to run
parts of OS/2 as applications under Linux, similar to DOSEMU,
then add emulation of more of it. (Specific OS/2?!?)
Again, maybe someone more knowledgable about this than I can set me
straight on this topic.
