Wasn't this about the time last year that we started seeing announcements
about the loss of the venue and resignation of the Warpstock committee?
We've had some real frustrations this year including a significant delay in
getting registration started. But we haven't let that derail other
initiatives that go into putting Warpstock together. One of those
initiatives has been a reach-out to OS/2 vendors who did not participate in
the last two Warpstocks. That takes an immense amount of contact effort just
to find the decision makers, let alone convince them that their participation
is worth their effort. We have also been working the mainstream press pretty
hard. Among other things we were interviewed by the Washington Post,
although they haven't run the piece yet. And we are hotly pursuing the
Atlanta media which happens to include CNN.

SCOUG says they are not trying to compete with Warpstock, and we have no
reason to doubt their word. They are working the core OS/2 channels very
effectively. I certainly wish them success and expect that they feel the
same about Warpstock. The more OS/2 events the better!
