Use UNRAR :)

RAR is a good system. Often provides better compression than ZIP. It's
available for a variety of OSs, including OS/2. The complete RAR package
is shareware, but the UNRAR part of it is explicitly offered as freeware.

I first encountered it a few months ago with the beta-testing of Jonathan
de Boyne Pollard's new OS2CLU utilities. Was sufficiently impressed to
register the DOS version and convert the school library computer backups
to it. I'm only using the freeware OS/2 UNRAR on my real computer, since
ZIP is virtually universal.
