No Y2K Problems Here
The "Month 13" Fix
My OS/2 systems (all Warp 4 Fixpak 10) rolled over without any apparent
problems.
And I've figured out how to handle the 2-digit years in a couple of
small spreadsheets I have. I've always entered dates as numeric
YYMMDD. Yesterday, for example, was 991231.
Since 000101 (Jan. 1, 2000) would get out of sequence when I sorted,
I've simply gone to month 13. So yesterday was 991231, and today is
991301.
February 1st will be 991401, and next December 1st will be 992401.
Heck, now I don't have to fix my own Y2K data problems until 2007.
