Greetings to All,
I happened to be speaking to Brent Bowlby of CDS today. (You may
recall a demo or two that he has done on Back Again/2 for the
club.) In the course of this conversation, I learned that
upgrading to the Server version of BA/2000 will only be essential
for ECS users who intend to use the JFS file system feature.
Otherwise, you could continue using the workstation edition.
As it happens, the preferred upgrade pricing offer expired in
April. (I think this normally runs around $99.00) However, as a
result of this conversation, Brent said he would honor that
offer's $79.00 price for members of this List, through Aug. 31.
You will need to use the link below, if interested, and to have a
current license for the workstation product.
Brent tells me that a new version of BA/2K Server edition will be
coming out shortly, with a number of added features. Anyone who
purchased the prior version _recently_ -- including via this
offer -- will be entitled to the new version when it is released.
