Hi, gang -

You might want to take a look at stuff about the Advanced Encryption
Standard from the NIST. It's at:

http://csrc.nist.gov/encryption/aes/

Unfortunately, the current website is not pointed to (as nearly as I can
tell) by the antique website. However, I think you'll find the pros and
cons in the discussion of the candidate algorithms very interesting.

It's going to be interesting to see whether this is going to get
forbidden for export! ;-)
