The desire is to archive the content of the meetings, not provide them in close-to-real-time. For
archiving a CD is perfect.
The increase in CDR speed has increased our duplication capacity. It used to be if I didn't start
building the CD by Monday, and burning by Wednesday evening I was sunk. Now I can start
building Wednesday evening and burn as late as Friday morning without rushing.
Finally, as you pointed out SCOUG can seek alternatives for archiving the files online. Groups like
VOICE already have all of their newsletters on Hobbes.
Speaking of Hobbes, I believe there are several tools for converting from MP3 to CD recordable WAV
files. All we would need to do is document the process.
