Correct !
Under x:\OS2\Archives you'll find the structure and the data of
the archived
desktop. An important file do control your archiving process is
the read-only
file: OS2.KEY ! It normally contains the following lines:
KEYFILE:OS2.INI
KEYFILE:OS2SYS.INI
KEYFILE:C:\CONFIG.SYS
KEYFILE:C:\STARTUP.CMD
KEYFILE:C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT
KEYFILE:C:\OS2INIT.CMD
This default entries do not save your Destop coorectly and you
have to add
the following lines upon to your personal needs and wishes of
what you want
have saved:
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK0.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK1.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK10.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK11.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK12.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK13.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK14.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK15.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK2.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK3.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK4.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK5.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK6.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK7.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK8.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK9.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\SCENTER.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL.INI
KEYFILE:C:\IBMLAN\IBMLAN.INI
KEYFILE:C:\MPTN\ETC\RESOLV
KEYFILE:C:\MPTN\ETC\TCPOS2.INI
KEYFILE:C:\MPTN\ETC\HOSTS
KEYFILE:C:\TCPIP\BIN\TCPSTART.CMD
KEYFILE:\C:\MMOS2\MMPMCD.INI
KEYFILE:\C:\MMOS2\SPI.INI
KEYFILE:\C:\MMOS2\MIDITYPE.INI
KEYFILE:\C:\MMOS2\MMPM2.INI
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM.INI
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\WIN.INI
The dock entries are values of the WarpCenter and it's TRAYs.
The other values are dependent of their importance for you and
your system !

OS/2?
YES !
The WPS archiving process and the recovery choices (appearing
during
the boot process) are tools to manage archiving and recoveries.

Another important aspect is the archiving path !
By default it's x:\OS2\Archive where x stands for the OS/2 system
partition.
I have set my archive path to Y:\OS2\Archive\WS210\Smily
according to
the system. So it's in the more frequent data backups !!
So I do not need any other tools.

I ran
That's because you may not had changed your KEY.OS2 file !?
Since quite a long time I am dealing this way with my WPS without
any
problems except sometime the scenter.cfg gets corrupted ...
... but I started to do a manual copy if the apperance has
important changes.
Well, I'll stop here and hope you understand my
Swiss-German-English ;-)
