Subject: SCOUG-General: SCOUG meeting Dec. 7 at Chapman University

Content Type: text/plain

The next meeting of the Southern California OS/2 User Group (SCOUG)
will be this Sunday, December 7, 2003 at 2:30 PM PST, at Chapman
University, 203 Hashinger Hall Science Building, 400 N. Center St,
Orange (note special date/location).

SCOUG's End-of-Year Holiday Blast

It's our annual end-of-year holiday party meeting!
The meeting will cover several topics:
1) SCOUG member Ray Davison has volunteered to show us how he manages
his system with multiple drive trays.
2) Members who attended Warpstock in the San Francisco Bay area will
report on the sessions they attended (and in the case of Lynn Maxson,
presented).
3) Lastly, the meeting will conclude with some good eats and a white-
elephant raffle of contributions from all of you. Bring your OS/2
and computer-related cast-offs (no junk, naturally) for the raffle.

We're still working on getting SCOUG a new permanent meeting location.
This month's meeting is being held at Chapman University during the
time of our usual live Help Desk. The Help Desk will return on January
4, 2004, by which time we hope to have another location for the general
monthly meeting.

Help Desk chats are on Wednesday evenings at 7 PM PST. If you've got a
problem with hardware or software, join the chat and ask for help.
Info is at http://www.scoug.com/chat/index.html.

OS/2 Live Help Desk, January 4th, 2004, 2 PM PST, Chapman University in
Orange:

At the live OS/2 Help Desk, volunteers will give you hands-on assistance
solving your hardware and software problems. It is usually held the
first Sunday of the month in cooperation with the OS/2 SIG of the North
Orange County Computer Club.

Come to Hashinger Hall Science Building, room 203. It's on the second
floor, and there's an elevator to bring up your equipment. Bring your
system and all related hardware and software, along with a detailed
explanation of your problem.

How to get to Chapman University:

There are two ways to get directions:
1) Go to http://www.scoug.com/warpexpowest/sitemap.html
2) Go to http://www.mapquest.com/ and enter the address 400 N. Center
Street, Orange, CA.

You can park in any of the University lots for free on Sundays. The
lot off Center near the football field will usually have open spaces.
The lot off Walnut is larger, but there's some construction going on.
If you park on the street, be careful --- it's illegal to park on the
residential side of the streets without a permit.

Please join us! Visit us at http://www.scoug.com/.
