I only use desktop machines and thus have never paid any attention to
ACPI. Is the problem that existing drivers must be modified to sense
when power management should begin?
I did a search and found a relevant doc that I should read "when I have
time". It's not OS/2 (it's Linux) but the functionality shouldn't be
any different:
