Subject: SCOUG-General: Thinkpads

FWIW, the latest ThinkPad line, aka T43, has two significant developments
(IMO), different video "card" and a default fingerprint recognition. The
best deals are the T42 and T42p line for eComStation aka OS/2
compatibility.

I plan to buy another ThinkPad probably T42 for myself while mom gets the
T30.

Bottom line: if you are looking for a new notebook consider the T42 or
T42p line because prices are lower in anticipation of widespread T43
release.

Forgive me if some of the terminology not correct but very long day.

HTH

Larry
