Hi
I am a satisfied customer of Speakeasy.net & happy that George is happy
with their service as well - although we both realize rather expensive.
I am planning on trying to run my own server but have looked at companies
that will host your web site. If I were going to have someone host my web
site based on my research as someone who does not know servers, I would
choose Surpass Hosting < www.surpasshosting.com >. Currently this vendor
is redesigning their offerings and normally I would not recommend
something unless tested myself. "But" a special!
"In celebration of Valentine's Day we are running this sale from 2/2/07
until 2/28/07. You can purchase any shared hosting plan and only pay $1
for the entire year! After the year is up the normal yearly payment cycle
for that plan will begin. And a year is so forever from now." And a
couple more specials.
Please note that a popup occurs for both websites as above but since I do
not have the plugin installed I do not know the content. And of course
read the fine print. The usual disclaimers. If anyone goes for the $1
special, please post to the list and let us know the results. If Surpass
were having a VPS special, I might change my mind and have Surpass host my
web sites.
Regards.
Larry
