From back when I replaced an old ATI video card with the Matrox G400 I've been
using the past two years, I seem to recall that there were several versions of
DPINSTL in circulation, and this caused a certain amount of problems and
confusion. Maybe that file gets changed in the course of various fixpack
installs ? If there is anything to this, you might need an earlier / later /
alternate ver. of DPINSTL.
