A few times most days, I am apt to hear a short, sharp screech
type of sound that (I'm guessing) might be coming from a hard
drive, or possibly the power supply. It is definitely from some
moving part, and since these items are continually in motion,
they are the leading suspects. No CDs or whatnot are in use
then. I am hard pressed to link this sound to any particular
event (Come to think of it, I suppose I can't rule out a case or
cpu fan.)
Should I be concerned ?
