Geez, Peter. I guess we're not blessed with the concept of follow through, are
we. In any case, I've not played with Octave's standard audio file generation
processing but if I had to guess, I would think that .au and .wav were
supported. And if I'm right, I would guess it wouldn't take more than a single
line of code to generate any audio file you can conceive (Linear FM or
Hyperbolic FM sufficient for you).
