I have discovered that the Warp 4 Digital Audio object (WEPM.EXE) no longer
works on any of my systems. As an experiment, I backed up my system. Then, I
uninstalled and reinstalled MultiMedia Services. After a bit of fiddling (to
various elements synchronized, FixPak-wise) I was able to get a functional copy
of WEPM, but that process introduced other instabilities, so I reverted to my
backup.
The symptoms I have are that when I select a .WAV file from the folder (or try
to start a new one) the file shows up in the task list, but WEPM does not
appear. This process is accompanied by the start of the associated sound,
which then abruptly cuts off.
Would appreciate suggestions from anyone about how to make WEPM functional. I
need to capture input from my sound card, and -- so far -- I haven't found
another program that will do this.
Thanks.
