Peter,
Larry Martin, the orig. developer of UniMaint, received a number of emails on
Compuserve (back when he hung out there, in the former incarnation of one of
their OS/2 forums) inquiring or complaining about the problem of "phantom" or
unintended duplicate desktops. This prompted him to create a Rexx .CMD file
for dealing with the problem, and posting a step-by-step on how to i.d. and
cure this malady with UniMaint. I have this somewhere, and can dig it out if
you need it.
