1) What are the sizes of your \OS2\OS2.INI and \OS2\OS2SYS.INI files?
You'll have to use ATTRIB -S OS2*.INI before you DIR to see the file
sizes. If the .INI files are real big your cpu spends a lot of time
searching through them.
2) Does OS/2 see all of your RAM? If you have a bad SIMM then (iirc)
OS/2 only uses the good memory below it.
3) How big does your \OS2\SYSTEM\SWAPPER.DAT swap file get?

As far as I know the swap file is automatically recreated when you boot.
