Just to let you all know, I have a call in to the developer of
System Commander. They are looking into the issue of
compatibility with LVM, and will be informing me when there is
some definitive info, which I will pass along to this list. The
answer will apply specifically to SC, but quite possibly also to
competing products like BOOT-IT and K-BOOT.
Apropos of this, I was wondering if anyone can confirm that: 1)
both LVM and JFS are published spec.s, rather than proprietary
secrets, & 2) both were previously deployed in IBM's AIX ?
