Not a typical "Help" post, but there's a (to me) fascinating story of
how Slashdot recovered from their weekend outage at:
http://slashdot.org/features/01/06/27/124207.shtml
I kept trying to reach them, finally decided they'd get it fixed
eventually. Two items in the story caught my eye: the first techies on
the scene rebooted the Cisco which instantly destroyed the logs, and
during the second outage on Tuesday nobody bothered to check the status
lights on all the boxes.
