I courrupted something so that pmshell.exe will not run on boot up.
I was working with WordPro (ss 1.6 in Warp 4, FP 15) and had a Microsoft
Word document open. I went to print the document. The computer hung at
that point. (This used to happen all the time, but lately it's been
working ok).
I reboot the computer, but it would not boot past the point where it tries
to run pmshell.exe (and gave an error message that it could not run: set
workplace=pmshell.exe).
I finally had to restore OS/2 from a backup.
I have two questions. I am worried that this could happen again.
Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
If it does happen, is there a way to fix it without having to restore a
complete backup?
Thanks,
Sandy
