If you are responding to someone asking for help who
may not be a member of this list, be sure to use the
REPLY TO ALL feature of your email program.

You are right. When I moved the window half way off the screen, the
MINSTALL program completed successfully. However, I now get a SYS1201
error for the new viaudd.sys driver -- it is not getting loaded for some
reason. All the .sys and .dll files have been correctly copied to their
respective directories. So either I have a bad driver, or there is
something wrong with the motherboard. I can't think of anything else.

Maybe I should just disable the MB sound and install a PCI sound card?
