I replaced my venerable HP Laserjet 1100 printer with an HP Laserjet 1200
printer.
I downloaded from IBM the latest laserjet drivers and installed the one
for LJ 1200.
Two problems immediately were apparant:
With PM Fax for OS/2, V 3.2h Ena, I could no longer print or send a fax to
the printer -- I would get an error message: "Printer bitmap error -
X1015."
With Describe word processor, apostrophes and quotation marks were printed
as numbers (fives and sevens, I think).
I reinstalled the Laserjet 1100 printer driver and I use that with Fax Pro
and with Describe. So far that does the job, but it seems like a bit of a
kludge.
Everything else, so far, seems to work OK with the LJ 1200 driver. Is
there a more elegant way to fix this?
Thanks,
Sandy
