I want to make a compressed backup to a hard (not tape) drive.

PKZip fails because it only works with a small number of files. Zip
fails because it doesn't like my Graham Utilities directory. And I
spent the remainder of the night trying once again to get Back
Again/2000 Server with the latest ("D") revisions working, but it won't
accept a hard drive target (I've messaged their tech support).

What are you guys using for backup? Anybody backing up to hard drive?
