I have successfully backedup and restored OS/2 boot drive with this.

::zip -rgSu9TvE I:\BACKUP\zipc C:\ >I:\BACKUP\c.log
::zip -rgSu9TvE I:\BACKUP\zipd D:\ >I:\BACKUP\d.log
zip -rgSu9TvE I:\BACKUP\zipe E:\ >I:\BACKUP\e.log
::zip -rgSu9TvE I:\BACKUP\zipf F:\ >I:\BACKUP\f.log
::zip -rgSu9TvE I:\BACKUP\zipg G:\ >I:\BACKUP\g.log
::zip -rgSu9TvE I:\BACKUP\ziph H:\ >I:\BACKUP\h.log
::zip -rgSu9TvE I:\BACKUP\zipi I:\ >I:\BACKUP\i.log
Note only drive E is active. Edit double :: to select drives. Read
e.log to know if zip was successful.
RESTORE.CMD
unzip zipe.zip -d E:\
