I *think* you can unzip a file to whatever filename you like.
With PKZip, use the Shortname option. With UnZip, use the -p option.
The following *might* work (I haven't tested them):
pkzip /extract /short=dos watcom.zip
unzip -p watcom.zip somelongfilename.html >shortnam.htm
>From my read of the docs, pkzip will unzip all files to short file names
in one run but unzip must be executed once for each file.
