Hi Ray
I am sorry I have overseen your very interesting hint for ZIPing
the OS/2 partition:
> I have a zip of the OS/2 partition. It is less than 200M.

partition

You are correct: This is an efficient and interesting solution !
It does not waste any storage and, very important with a
collapsing
HDD, there is no risk to loose it ;-))
My present solution is a backup to a small external SCSI-HDD.
After backup the external unit is not disturbing or interfearing
the
present system environment !
I would prefer your solution !!
Once again I have learnt an interesting solution: Thank you !
Regards, svobi
