I've been using Webbnet's Webbchat applet for irc connection to Scoug's
helpchat on Wednesday nights at 7 pm. I've been connecting at work on a
university computer. The Webbnet site has a Webbchat link that pops up an
applet with user name, channel and server name. I've been successful with
doing this. I was checking at home and when I go to the Webbnet site and
click on the Webbchat link, the applet will not appear with Mozilla. With
Netscape the applet will appear and I can configure the user name window,
the channel window and the server name window, but can not connect to the
chat server. The message at the bottom of the applet says: "Applet chat
security. Couldn't connect to irc.us-west server." It doesn't matter
what server I use, I get the same message.

Interestingly, when in linux the same thing happens with Mozilla but with
Netscape, I can connect. Everything is fine in Windows 2K for Mozilla,
Opera, and Internet Explorer.

Is it a plug-in problem using os/2 warp 4? I am a little baffled. I know
I could download an irc chat program, but I would like to find the cause
for this problem.

Thanks for any advice.
