Start with:
view rexx
What I would do is derive the unique container name from the current date.
Try:
rexxtry say 'C-'date('S')'.dat'
rexxtry allows you to test snippets of REXX code from the command line.
Very handy.
If you have troubles getting the code to work, just post it here or on
scoug-programming.
I'll e-mail you a code skeleton that handles most of the gory details.
