No, I believe that OS2SCAN is the command line scanner (which, IIRC, is still 16 bit and stopped being updated a couple versions ago), and that PMSCAN should be the 4160 engine. Or not . . . because a lot of the heavy
lifting appears to be handled by API032.DLL. It includes the string "4.1.60" inside, whereas the others do not, and it was the module most often implicated (two versions ago) in POPUPLOG, back when VSCAN/2 was always
crashing when I attempted to use most of the DATfiles from 4093 thru 4134. I have a record of this because I sent a few emails about it to their Tech Support. Anyway, the 4130 engine came out shortly thereafter, and this
problem went away.

Take note of what I said before, about the next OS/2 engine, 4180, being *the last.* Grab it when you see it, because we don't know how long it will be available. If the DATfiles suddenly stop working again, I think that
will be rather suspicious. I wouldn't be totally shocked if the last time this happened was no accident.

As I understand it, you can't use Vshield in OS/2 without the SES module first being installed. Everything I've read about it suggests that the "cons" of doing so greatly outweigh the "pros."
