Sandy,

Again, I believe that the scheduler comes with version 2.10d. I'm not
absolutely sure, but I believe that to be true. Look under
"Configuration" in the main menu in the main window for BA 2K. If the
"Scheduler" option is greyed out, you will have to install it from your
installation diskettes.

The main advantage of using version 3.00A is that it allows you to
backup to CD's (either CD-R or CD-RW) and span multiple CD's in your
backup. You need the RSJ software, however, to do this. Using multiple
CD's allows you to backup and have the entire backup file > 2.1GB,
because it spans 2 or more CD's. I have not been able to successfully
backup to CD's on my system. I can make the backups successfully. And it
seems as though it restores various files OK, regardless of which CD
that file is backed up to. What's not working for me is the crash
recovery, using multiple CD's. The crash recovery program locates the
backup OK, but it stalls out on the first CD after completing about 90%
of the restore from that CD disk. I created a "duplicate" backup on my
hard drive, so I was able to restore my entire system using that. I
called CDS. Seems I'm the only one with this problem. Restoring from
CD's takes a much longer time (twice as long??). I decided to go back
and use my tried, tested and trusted backing up to the hard drive (did
not pursue the CD backup issue with CDS).
