I'm using Junk Spy. To change my email client from Netscape 2.02 to
Polarbar, I want to view the Junk Spy "Polarbar help" html file, but
it's installed on the Desktop with access only from WebExplorer. I want
to be able to click on the object and have the file open in Mozilla or
Netscape, not in WebExplorer.
Junk Spy support says this is due to my Desktop settings:
"This is NOT, repeat NOT, a Junk Spy issue/problem... it's
an issue with your desktop and application you have set
to be the default one to open HTML files with. You have
that desktop setting set to be Web Explorer, not Netscape."
How do I change my Desktop settings so the Junk Spy documentation
objects open in Mozilla or Netscape instead of in WebExplorer? None of
these browsers have any Associations listed in their properties so I
don't know why WebExplorer is the one and only associated program. The
Type of the Junk Spy html object is "UniformResourceLocator" and the
Type of the underlying file is "HTML text/html".
What setting makes WebExplorer the default for UniformResourceLocator
objects? Once I know the setting, I can change it.
