This can only do part of the job and I don't know which part. Since it's
a basedev, it really has no access to the file system. It's more likely
that the scan on load features are implemented in the .dll's and I suspect
that the scan on load is what's causing the interaction with UNIMAINT.

All you are saying is that IBMAV did not disturb the WPS on your system.
Again, without know exactly why NVC and UNIMAINT are not getting along on
your system, we are all guessing. While I tend to suspect the problem is
more likely caused by something NVC is doing, it's not impossible that the
defect is really within UNIMAINT.
Recall Peter's problems with UNIMAINT. It turned out to be a UNIMAINT
defect, but he was the only one that was experiencing it often enough for
it to be a problem.
