Tom,

Adding a second SCSI adapter should be no problem. However, your BIOS
hardware assignments may change (IRQ assignments, etc) and that may
cause a small problem, requiring a some small re-adjustments inside
OS/2. I have some suggestions:

1. Before you install the new adapter, make should your system will boot
with the Hardware Manager set to "Full Detection". If it does not, fix
that first. You may have to "REM" out some offending lines in the
SNOOP.LST file. Use a semi-colon (;) in front of any offending line in
the SNOOP.LST file.

2. Before you shut your system down to install the new adapter, set the
Hardware Manager to "Full Detection".

3. Record everything in your BIOS setup before you change anything
inside the computer. Record the BIOS assignments on the screen at
bootup. Hopefully, you can use the "Print Screen" function to do this,
like I can. If not, manually record it.

4. Install the SCSI adapter and reboot. If the reboot is successful,
test it out thoroughly to make sure nothing's amiss. You may have to
reassign the IRQ and IO for your com port in the CONFIG.SYS (assuming
you have a line there with an assignment)

If the reboot with the SCSI is not successful, you can easily go back to
your previous system, because you recorded your previous hardware
configuration
HCM
