Correct. Don't think I missed any of 'em, but it's possible.

The error seems to come up somewhere between compaction processing of the SENT and TRASH folders.

I did, and all the .SNMs (indexes) have been updated each time, but not necessarily all the respective
message files. In some cases, that is because that particular mail folder has not been altered or
accessed in some time. It would have to be some sort of corruption that does not otherwise inhibit the
normal operation of the relevant mail folders, and any of their contents that I've revisited so far, so I
wonder how I'd go about tracking it down ? (This does not appear to be sufficiently important as to
merit a major investigative effort, however.)
I gather you're implying that it's not the size of particular mail folders ? If I ever get the chance to
do a major cleanup & paring down of the accumulated mail, maybe I'll find out . . . . OTOH, is it
possible this is one of those bogus error messages -- i.e., the compaction procedure actually is working,
despite the message ?
