If you buy used NICs and other stuff from TRW and other
places, you will someday need to find the manufacturer.
I found some nice $2 Realtek 8139 PCI NICs there and
needed drivers. Found the Realtek site with the OS/2 drivers
ONLY after searching the FCC ID, thanks to Tim Katz
(didn't I say he's real good at this kind of thing?).
BTW, I saw that new Realtek 8139 drivers are now available,
I think possibly from IBM. It's not that these are the best NICs
going, it's just that they are plentiful and cheap and my
NIC needs are easily met.
