Is there some particular reason you need to go with one of the later drivers ? I can't quote the version
offhand, but I'm using a 7800FAM set dated 4/8/99. I think I got it off the CDS site awhile back. They
were saying something to the effect that this version (altered by IBM ? -- I don't recall anymore . . . )
worked better for certain things, and that using another version could lead to things like failures when
trying to do Compares on tape backup sets. Maybe someone here remembers this issue better than I do.
Anyway, this release works great for my 2940U and U2W cards, so I'd be reluctant to change to something
later, unless I could be sure it incorporated the same fixes.
