The only time I ever tried to get a BIOS update I went to Award.  I was  
sent to contact that I then phoned.  They wanted sixty dollars.  I  
pointed out to the salesman that for that amount I could buy a better MB  
with a current BIOS.  He agreed.  No sale.  
 
Have you ever gotten a current BIOS from the manufacturer of an old MB?   
They don't seem to stay in business that long.
