If you are responding to someone asking for help who
may not be a member of this list, be sure to use the
REPLY TO ALL feature of your email program.

Hi Sheridan,
>How long does it take before the not responding message appears?
It happens almost immediately. There is a short pause and then the
message:
"Your printer is not responding and may be offline."
>detach lprportd
>echo ..... LPRPORTD Started
>echo ..... FINISHED STARTING THE TCP/IP PROCESSES
>:DONESERVERS
>IF EXIST C:\tcpip\bin\TCPEXIT.CMD CALL C:\tcpip\bin\TCPEXIT.CMD echo
>..... EXITING TCPSTART.CMD .....
This is all there exactly as yours.
>Also, there is a shadow of tcpstart.cmd in my StartUp folder. It was put
>there by the LAN properties notebook, afaik, when lprportd was activated.
That is there too.
I should add (it was in another message) that I did get the printer to
work from a computer running eComstation, which I connected to the SMC
router. As far as I can tell the settings on that computer are exactly the
same as those on my two Warp 4 computers.
Thanks,
Sandy
