A while back there was a question about how to cross-connect two
computers to one printer.
B&B Electronics (http://www.bb-elec.com/) is a major manufacturer of
industrial control connection equipment and they have a product which
does this. Their Model 232PDS ($44.95) connects two computers to one
printer.
The product writeup says: "Two computers can share the same serial
printer at the same time and each can remain connected at all times."
There is no switch that needs to be changed to select the computer which
wants to print. Just plug the thing in and start printing.
Note that there is no buffering; you do *not* want to try to print from
both computers simultaneously or you'll mix the two print streams
together.
