Hi, folks. Sorry I've been away for awhile - you know, big project, tight
deadlines, etc. Well, I'm back, caught up on the back activity on the mailing
list and maybe I can participate again.
After all these heavy technical IP/Print Server discussions, I'm almost
embarassed at the question. My kids are mad at me. The last upgrade of the
machine on which SimTown/2 is loaded included a newer motherboard with more
memory (128MB versus 64MB). I didn't try it right away (nor did the kids) and a
few other things may have changed between then and when it was tried (I can't
recall it all but it's not always possible to limit changes to one at a time)
but the next time SimTown/2 was run, it complained of not having enough memory
let alone that it should have registered more (exact message at end). Is there
anything I can do to convince it otherwise? I tried the object properties but
since it's an OS/2 app, there's really nothing to change. Is disassembly to
find where it queries for available memory the only option? I'm afraid I'd be
hopelessly out of my league trying this.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
-Rocky
SimTown/2 error:
Fatal error. Not enough memory to run SimTown. Try these: 1) Close some
applications and try again. 2) Buy some more memory. (Nothing else is loaded at
the time this message appears so it's not too many apps loaded.)
